Do I know I am talking to AI?
Yes. Will is our AI recruiter, and that is stated above every conversation before you start. Will never pretends to be a person.
Why a conversation with AI?
Every applicant gets a real conversation, whenever it suits you, including evenings and weekends. Your CV does not disappear into a pile: you explain in your own words what you can do and what you are looking for.
What happens to your data
We only use what is needed, protect it and keep it no longer than allowed.
Which data does Will use?
Your CV, your motivation and the conversation itself, so Will can take your experience into account and ask relevant questions. Will does not ask about your gender, age, origin, religion, health or other sensitive data, and these play no part.
Do my name and contact details go to the AI model?
No. Before anything goes to the AI model, we replace everything that directly identifies you: your name, email, phone number, address, postcode, date of birth, citizen service number, bank account and LinkedIn profile. The model sees a pseudonym and labels. Only when the answer comes back do we put the real details back, so Will simply calls you by your name.
This keeps your personal details away from the big AI providers. What does go along is what the vacancy needs, such as your town (for travel distance), education and experience. This is called pseudonymisation: the data can still be traced back by us, so it is fully covered by the GDPR.
How long do you keep my data?
Without your consent we delete your application and CV no later than four weeks after it is completed. If you agree to be contacted later, we keep them for at most one year. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data, we do so straight away. An automatic process removes everything past its term every day, including the CV file itself.
Who do you share my data with?
With the employer of the vacancy you apply for, and with the parties that help us deliver the service, such as our hosting and the AI model. They may only use your data for that purpose. We never sell your data. All parties are listed in our privacy policy.
How Will checks, and who decides
Will gathers findings. People make the decisions.
What does Will look at?
Only the conversation, and only the requirements of the role. Will does not screen your CV beforehand: everyone gets the conversation first. Will does not infer anything from your voice, face or posture, and does not look at personal characteristics that have nothing to do with the job.
Who decides whether I am invited?
The employer. Will does not reject anyone: every candidate goes to the employer with Will's findings, and the employer decides who to invite.
Do people check Will's work?
Yes. Will Werk staff check every application. If they see Will missed or misunderstood something, we correct it and improve Will.
Why can't I paste in the conversation?
The employer wants to get to know you, not a text from somewhere else. That is why pasting is switched off and you type your own answers. They do not have to be perfect: your own words say more.
Your rights
You stay in control. Email will@willwerk.nl and we will sort it out.
Can I have my data corrected or deleted?
Yes. In My Will you can edit your profile yourself; anything you remove stays removed. For access to, correction or deletion of all your data, email will@willwerk.nl.
Can I ask a person to look at it?
Always. Email will@willwerk.nl and a member of staff will review your application themselves. They can adjust Will's findings and will let you know the outcome. You can also ask for an explanation of the points where, according to Will, you matched less well.
I do not want AI to read my CV.
